Design Skills Workshop
The Design Skills Workshop series were practical, skills-focused events in and around Chicago.
The idea came from the experiences when I saw most Design events were either lectures or panel discussions and lacked a workshopping element. I joined forces with a fellow alumnus of Flatiron School, Chad Wilson, and we decided to put it together ourselves.
On February 18th, we completed the first event which focused on Sketching for Designers.
Chicago Tech Podcast
When the Coronavirus pandemic shut down all the networking events, many people changing or just starting their careers in tech were left without access to a necessary resource for making connections within the industry and locating jobs. I wanted to create a resource for people to continue making connections and learning from each other.
Together with fellow UX Designer and Flatiron School alumnus, Thomas Southall, we began a podcast where we interviewed subject matter experts in the fields of Design, Development, Data Science, Social Media, and Career Strategy, among others.
